TN BJP President K. Annamalai helps CBI accused for a quid pro quo – EXCLUSIVE

In a shocking development, it has come to light that TN BJP President Annamalai has received bribe in kind from an accused who is facing cases both from CBI and Enforcement Directorate.

Just like the Rajinikanth’s block buster ‘Annamalai’, the IPS Annamalai’s rise was too quick.  The RSS which wanted to usurp Rajinikanth and upset both the Dravidian parties in the state, deployed Annamalai to infiltrate Rajinikanth’s camp and take him over.  But a shrewd Rajinikanth, aided by his poor health chose to throw in the towel.  Annamalai had met Rajinikanth during a shooting in Ramoji Rao film city, though he refused to accept the same.

Before joining BJP, Annamalai with an intent to milk the halo around his All India Service officer tag, started an NGO claiming to create leaders. He also promoted rural sheep farming.

But, he was directed by his godfather BJP National Secretary BL Santhosh to join the party immediately and he was made its state President in a jiffy.

The friendship of BL Santhosh and Annamalai goes back to his IPS days.  Annamalai got into acquaintance with BL Santhosh when he was serving in Dhakshina Kannada.  Annamalai  who considers himself as PM material, quickly caught up as he saw keys to a treasure trove.  Before resigning from IPS, he met Home Minister Amit Shah in Dubai who asked him to be patient.

In a move which surprised one and all in the party, Annamalai was appointed as TN BJP President  July 2021.  From day one, Annamalai was a Bull in a china shop.  At the drop of a hat, he started abusing DMK.  Most of the times, his criticisms were way off the mark.  Annamalai became a butt of jokes due to his self goals.  During his defence of Maridass, YouTuber, Annamalai lost his cool and said, “We are the ruling party in 18 states” insinuating that he can file complaint in those states and arrest people with other state police in Tamil Nadu.

He also made personal attacks on TN’s Head of Police Force Sylendra Babu.

Of late, numerous twitter handles and face book groups have cropped up in the name and style of “Annamalai Fan Club” “TN CM Annamalai” etc.  Such groups and twitter handles actively promote Annamalai and also troll those who are critical of Annamalai.  Just like the troll army of BJP, these handles are also abusive several times.

Around a month back, Annamalai’s god father and BJP’s National Secretary and an RSS leader BL Santhosh visited Chennai.  There was no official event and he discreetly opened an IT office in H Block of Anna Nagar.

This office houses the parallel IT Wing of Annamalai.  This IT Wing is run by one Amar Prasad Reddy, a notorious con man. He claims himself to be a doctorate in IT and a Professor.  Earlier he used to carry a visiting card designating him as “Director General of Cyber Cell Security” with Indian government logo and used to visit police cyber cells.  The naïve officers used to provide him with all the police paraphernalia.

This conman was recently inducted in BJP and given the post of President of Youth Development and Sports Cell.  His twitter page is here.  This conman is now running the parallel IT wing on behalf of Annamalai.

This is not the story. The building that houses the IT wing belongs to the Surana group. Surana Corporation are bullion traders. In the year 2012, the CBI booked them for cheating the Metals and Mineral Trading Corporation to the tune of Rs. 18 crores.  During the search, the CBI stumbled upon a prize catch of 400 kilos of gold.

Recently the gold came into news that 100 Kgs of gold went missing. A subsequent CB. CID probe cleared the air and proved that it was measurement error.

In December last year, the CBI registered a case of cheating banks against another wing of Surana group – Surana Power.  The CBI booked, Surana Power Limited, Gautham Raj Surana, Shantilal Surana, Vijayraj Surana and Dinesh Chand Surana, for allegedly cheating 10 banks of ₹1,495.76 crore. The outstanding amount as on July 31 this year stood at ₹3,157.82 crore.

Following the CBI cases, Enforcement Directorate also entered the picture.

Now, TN BJP President Annamalai has housed his parallel IT wing in the premises belonging to Surana ‘free of cost’.  A source privy to the developments said, “the Suranas are in a fix.  They owe nearly 3500 crore to the government or face jail.  Though the case against them was registered a year earlier, so far none from the family is arrested.   The choice before them is either to face arrest or flee abroad to some channel island.  This is where they approached BL Santhosh who promised to lend a helping hand.  Out of this deal, Annamalai was directed to use their premises in Anna Nagar.

Annamalai could easily take the defence that, he rented that premises innocently and he is not aware about the cases.  But that is not the case.. One Rahul Dinesh Surana, one of the siblings of the Suranas has not only been inducted into BJP, but has also been adorned with the post of State Secretary of BJP’s Youth IT Wing & Social Media.

Rahul Dinesh Surana, proudly boasts about this in in his twitter profile.  The fact that a notorious financial offender who has cheated the exchequer and private banks to the tune of nearly 3500 crores is not only accommodated in BJP and is allowed to move around with several senior leaders including former TN CM Edappadi Palanisamy.

This speaks volumes about Modi’s policy of “Na Khaoonga. Na Khaane Dhoonga”.
