விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் வேட்பாளர் ரவிக்குமார் மீது வருமானத்துக்கு அதிகமாக சொத்து சேர்த்த புகார் எழுந்துள்ளது. இது குறித்த விபரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு.
விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் எம்.எல்.ஏவாக இருந்தவர் ரவிக்குமார். இவர் தலித் எழுத்தாளர் என்று அறியப்படுகிறார். இவருக்கு எழுத்தாளர்கள் மற்றும் அறிஞர்கள் மத்தியில் பெரிய பெயர் உண்டு. 2006ம் ஆண்டு, இவர் பணியாற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்த சின்டிகேட் வங்கிப் பணியை ராஜினாமா செய்து விட்டு, விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியில் இணைந்தார். 2006ம் ஆண்டு சட்டப்பேரவை தேர்தலில் காட்டுமன்னார் கோவில் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டு, வெற்றி பெற்றார்.
மீண்டும் 2011ம் ஆண்டு தேர்தலில் போட்டியிட்டு தோல்வியடைந்தார். தற்போது விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் திருவள்ளுர் தொகுதி வேட்பாளராக நிறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
இந்த நிலையில், கோவையைச் சேர்ந்த மகேந்திரன் என்பவர், ரவிக்குமார் வருமானத்துக்கு அதிகமாக சொத்து சேர்த்ததாக தமிழக லஞ்ச ஒழிப்புத் துறைக்கு புகார் அனுப்பியுள்ளார். மகேந்திரன் தனது புகாரில், 2006ம் ஆண்டு முதல் 2011ம் ஆண்டு வரையான காலத்தில், ரவிக்குமார் 48 லட்ச ரூபாய்க்கு சொத்து சேர்த்துள்ளதாகவும், அது அவரது வருமானத்தை விட 542 சதவிகிதம் அதிகமானது என்றும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்தப் புகார் குறித்து, மகேந்திரனிடம் பேசியபோது, எத்தனையோ ஏழை தலித்துகள் சேரிகளில் இன்னமும் குடியிருந்து கொண்டிருக்கையில், சொகுசு கார்களில் வலம் வந்து கொண்டு, தலித் போராளிகளாக தன்னை அடையாளம் காண்பித்துக் கொள்ளும் ரவிக்குமார் போன்றவர்களை அம்பலப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே இந்தப் புகாரை கொடுத்ததாகவும், தமிழக லஞ்ச ஒழிப்புத் துறை புகாரின் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காவிட்டால், உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தை அணுக உள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

2) Thiru.D.Ravikumar, was an MLA in the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and was elected from the Kattumannarkovil constituency during the year 2006. He remained as an MLA till May 2011. He was a public servant as defined under section 2 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
3) Thiru.Ravikumar is a retired bank staff from the Syndicate Bank. He resigned his post and contested on a VCK ticket and won in the 2006 assembly elections. At the time of contesting elections, Thiru.Ravikumar has declared the following as his assets and liabilities.

5) Apart from the above declared assets, Thiru.D.Ravikumar has purchased land to the extent of 6 acres at Kumbakonam Taluk, Cholapuram, Natham village whose guideline value is Rs.18 lakhs. The land is purchased in the name of his wife Ms.Shenbagavalli and subsequently leased to ‘Manarkeni Educational Trust’.
6) Thiru.D.Ravikumar is also running a publication in the name and style of Manarkeni Publications, No.2, Noble Mansion, No.10, Dr. Natesan Road, Triplicane, Chennai. 600 005, whose value is not known.
7) Thiru.D.Ravikumar has declared his annual income as Rs. 2,56,460/- for the assessment year 2009-2010. If this income is taken on an average, his income during the check period is Rs. 12,82,300/-.
8) Thiru.D.Ravikumar’s family consists of his wife and two children. Taking one third of his total income as minimum family consumption expenditure, the amount works out to Rs. 4,27,433/-. Apart from family consumption expenditure, his son studied engineering during the check period in 2007 to 2011. He had incurred fuel expenditure for his two vehicles. On an average, Rs.80,000/- is fixed as educational expenditure for his son and for four years this works out to Rs.3,20,000/-. Fuel expenditure for the two vehicles is taken at an average of Rs.3000/- per month and for four years, this works out to Rs.1,44,000/- . His total expenditure during the check period comes to Rs.8,91,433/-

10) I request you to kindly register a case under section 13 (1) (e) r/w 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and investigate the matter.
