Extremely biased article against Modi. Savukku deliberately ignored the other part of the story.

    டைம்ஸ் ஆஃப் இந்தியா நாளேடு நவம்பர் 15 2010 இல் இப்படி செய்தி வெளியிட்டது: “Documents accessed by TOI conclusively establish the SG’s efforts to coordinate between the agencies and the counsel of the telecom minister, whom they were to investigate…”

Feku’s party is trying to defame, obstruct or vilify Gopal Subramanium systematically, esp. in the mass media, usually with the aim of preventing his appointment to public office. Mr. Subramanium and Rohinton Nariman were among the youngest persons to be designated as senior advocates by the Supreme Court. A lawyer highly regarded by the late Justice J.S. Verma, it was Mr. Subramanium and his teams’ extraordinary effort which formed the basis of the Verma report which led to amendments to the rape law after the Delhi gang rape incident in Delhi in 2012. Mr. Subramanium has served as Additional Solicitor General and Solicitor General for over eight years. He worked on Ajmal Kasab’s appeal for a nominal fee of one rupee. The Central Bureau of Investigation, which trusted him with cases of national importance, such as those of Ajmal Kasab and David Headley, has now unfairly chosen to weasel out by giving the recent events a colour which they did not originally possess.

Recently, acting as amicus curiae in safeguarding the wealth of the Anantha Padmanabhaswamy temple, Mr. Subramanium went out of his way in cleaning its sacred tank and spending nearly a crore from his own pocket. The Intelligence Bureau report to the Law Ministry raises questions about Subramaniam’s ‘odd behaviour’ giving instances where it says Subramaniam relied on his spiritual instincts rather than rational logic. Subramanium, who spent 35 days in Trivandrum and in the temple complex and exposed large-scale pilferage of gold from the temple vaults, submitted a 575-page report that he could not take the credit for discovering any of the misdeeds and that it was divinely ordained and said “It was his morning ritual of (shutting) his mind and seeking guidance, which resulted in discoveries in this direction”. A devout person, Subramanium has also been accused of conducting poojas in the temple in violation of its customs. Answering the charge, Subramanium had told a news magazine in an interview that he had “undertaken a formal course on Tantra from a great scholar at Benares”. This odd behavior is considered detrimental by IB. Justice Kripal from the Supreme Court bench narrated an experience from the Delhi High Court. An IB report in the case of a prospective appointee mentioned that he was a drunkard. The appointment did not go through at that stage, but the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court knew that the report was not true. When enquiries were made, it turned out that the appointee drank only on occasion while his friends were habitual drinkers. He was nicknamed ‘boozer’ because of the company he kept, even though he stayed sober. IB sleuths who were charged with finding out more information about the man stumbled on this nickname and drew a damning conclusion. The person concerned was later appointed to the Delhi High Court in a subsequent batch of appointments.

The CBI had earlier raised questions about Subramanium’s appointment pointing to references about him in the Radia tapes and his role in the 2G case. As S-G, he is said to have met with the lawyer for 2G scam accused, former telecom bandit A Raja, in his office in the presence of CBI officers in charge of the investigation, a behaviour that was considered improper. There is nothing unprofessional in meeting the lawyer of the spectrum bandit in the presence of CBI officers in his chamber. CBI officers can see, smell and hear your every move. Subramaniam, however, in a letter to then telecom minister Kapil Sibal, has denied having met the lawyer. The government says that a conversation between Nira Radia and some third person shows Mr. Subramanium in poor light. On the contrary, the conversation between Ms. Radia and industrialist Ratan Tata, where his name is mentioned, shows him in a very favourable light, since Ms. Radia says, ‘I am not sure that Mr. Subramanium will agree to what they say. He is an upright person. I think the spectrum bandit will be trying to get the AG’.

IB barks according to its master, first it was Italian madam, now its Feku. India was ill-served in the past by Mohan Kumaramangalam’s call of the early seventies. Four decades later, it is ill-served by the current law ministry’s subservience to partisan party interests and unfortunately, the new government is already displaying a tendency that with a brute majority anything is possible. Feku’s fanboys already started chanting that Intelligent Namo is to decide who is qualified to be a judge of the Supreme Court and amenable to the current Government and they don’t need obstructionist judges who will be a hindrance to the functioning of the new Government. Thats the current fate of India and we have more 58 months of waiting for Namo to make India become better than Europe and then Namo will think about ruling Asia with similarity to Ashoka.

Dear Savukku. I am sorry to say that ” These days Savukku has become yet another magazine trying to impose their thinking on the readers conveniently ignoring some of the facts that could damage the points that they wish to impose’. The pity is that even savukku has fallen a prey and in his articles ignore a few points that are in favour of the opponent and paint a caste colour like ‘parpana’ (where it is not required or would add any strength to his arguments – not sure whom or which segment he wish to please) that has no relevance to the subject handled. Sorry to say Savukku has lost its balanced way of handling issues with straight forwardness for reasons best known to them. I can only feel sorry for the situation. With Best Regards

Dear Savukku, I read in few articles that there was an allegation against Mr, Gopal Subaramaniam that he was showing undue interest, trying to influence the 2 G case on behalf of Mr. Maran. How will you justify this?. I read that he was not clean as portrayed in this article.

Don’t know when the country can get rid of negative elements who keep inventing stories to stay relevant somehow and create trouble by falsehood. We need judges who are honest beyond doubt. We need judges who don’t support pseudo secular thinking. We need judges who don’t support terrorists. We want a clean India.

A law ministry official said the IB had in its report given instances where it says Subramanium relied on his spiritual instincts rather than rational logic. The report specifically mentioned the Parliament attack case of 2001 in which Subramanium was the Special Public Prosecutor and more recently the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple case where he was an amicus curiae (friend of the court). In the latter case, Subramanium, who spent 35 days in Trivandrum and in the temple complex and exposed large-scale pilferage of gold from the temple vaults, submitted a 575-page report that he could not take the credit for discovering any of the misdeeds and that it was divinely ordained. “It was his morning ritual of (shutting) his mind and seeking guidance, which resulted in discoveries in this direction,” the report said.

A devout person, Subramanium has also been accused of conducting poojas in the temple in violation of its customs. Subramanium did not respond to ET queries despite repeated attempts including calls, emails and a visit to his Jorbagh office. Answering the charge, Subramanium had told a news magazine in an interview that he had “undertaken a formal course on Tantra from a great scholar at Benares”.

The CBI had earlier raised questions about Subramanium’s appointment pointing to references about him in the Radia tapes and his role in the 2G case. “ஜெயலலிதா எப்படி தன்னுடைய அமைச்சர்களை அடிமைகளாக வைத்திருக்கிறாரோ, அதே போலத்தான் மோடியும் தன்னுடைய அமைச்சர்களை அடிமைகளாக வைத்திருக்கிறார்”

So you mean to say that like Jayalalitha, Modi will win next term with overwhelming majority.
